Welcome to W.A. Johnson!

Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!

Dear W. A. Johnson Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We hope you had a peaceful and relaxing summer filled with time spent with family and friends, along with plenty of fun and memorable moments.

As we prepare to begin another wonderful school year together, we would like to share a few important reminders and pieces of information.

School Hours

Students may enter the building beginning at 8:05 a.m. each day.

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:40 a.m.–3:20 p.m.
• Tuesday: 8:40 a.m.–2:25 p.m.

School Supplies

Once again, BSD2 will provide students with all necessary school supplies. Families will only need to provide a backpack and gym shoes.

Please be sure to label both items with your child’s name.

Bus Transportation

Students who live more than 1.5 miles from school or who reside in a designated hazard area are automatically assigned bus transportation.

If you prefer to transport your child to and from school, you will need to complete a “No Bus” form, available from our front office.

Traffic Plan

Our drop-off and pick-up procedures are designed to keep everyone safe and ensure that arrival and dismissal run as smoothly as possible. We ask that all families carefully follow the established traffic procedures, as these routines are especially important for the safety of our students.

Please review the map and directions before the first day of school.

We are excited to welcome our students back and begin a great year together!

Warmly,

Carlos Patiño
Principal | Johnson School
