Bensenville School District 2 will serve FREE meals to anyone 18 years and younger throughout the summer at Tioga School, 212 W. Memorial Road.
The budget will allow the District to continue to offer all of its programs. It projects a $46,000 surplus, with expenditures and revenues roughly balancing at $47 million.
Returning students who have not yet registered for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as students entering Grades K-5 who are new to the District, will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 at all BSD2 schools.
The first day of classes for Grades K-8 in Bensenville School District 2 is Wednesday, August 20. Before classes convene, all BSD2 students in Grades Pre-K-8 will be able to meet their teachers on Tuesday, August 19.
Under the District’s new “first-day exclusion” policy, students whose health exam and immunization records are NOT up-to-date and on file at their schools will NOT be allowed to start the new school year on August 20.
Eligible families will receive a $120 benefit card per student to help buy food during the summer through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Electronic Benefits (EBT) program, also known as SUN Bucks.
As we wrap up another remarkable school year, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make it a success—our incredible students, their supportive families, our dedicated teachers and staff, our tireless administrators, and our incredible BSD2 community.
For the past three years, Ms. Ryan has served as the Chief of Academics and Schools Management and the Interim Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Evanston/Skokie School District 65. She will officially join the District on July 1.
